In Stefano Meloni and Lisa Höger's new oasis of well-being, Urban Coffee in the southern Waldstraße, you can now enjoy the finest coffee specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.

After years of gaining experience in various restaurants, Stefano Meloni finally achieved his goal on December 10, 2025: Together with his partner Lisa Höger, he opened the doors of his own café – Urban Coffee. "We were so happy when we saw the premises of the former juice shop and knew right away that we wanted to make our dream come true here," says Meloni. Lisa, who has been running her own yoga studio, Urban Yoga, on Herrenstraße in Karlsruhe since June 2023, supports Stefano in the café.

It is immediately apparent that the two not only harmonize privately, but have also created a very special place in Karlsruhe with Urban Coffee. With great attention to detail, a small oasis of well-being has been created here in the heart of the city center. "I tried to incorporate many elements that my guests already know from the yoga studio and to integrate Urban Yoga into Urban Coffee," Lisa describes the café. This is a place where the people of Karlsruhe can come and enjoy a relaxing moment. Of course, the focus is on enjoyment. "You can feast here from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cake is available all day," says Lisa, describing an excerpt from the menu. Also on the menu are, for example:

In addition, the owners place great importance on the sustainability and regional origin of their food. We source our coffee from the Sandrino coffee roastery in Herxheim. We get our bread and focaccia from the Meier bakery in Grünwinkel and our teas from Hellers Teabar," reveals Stefano.

To boost the immune system, the two owners offer delicious smoothies such as the "Grasshopper" with spinach, mango, pineapple, and banana, "Pink Pitaya" with dragon fruit, mango, banana, and passion fruit, or "Sunshine" with peach, passion fruit, and mango, as well as other freshly squeezed juices.

"It has always been my dream to combine yoga with enjoyment. I have now been able to realize this with Urban Coffee," Lisa explains the concept. She has already planned numerous events that combine urban yoga and urban coffee. The next event to take place at Urban Coffee is "Yoga & Brunch" on February 7, 2026. "We'll start with a 60-minute yoga session, then walk together through the city center to Urban Coffee, where a delicious brunch will be waiting for us," reveals the owner.
