In spring, Karlsruhe shows its colorful side again in 2025 with the Festival of the Senses and invites you on a real pleasure trip. When the city center is transformed into a colorful spring landscape, it's time to stroll, feast, enjoy and store.
Visit the pleasure marketexperience a varied children's and family program, discover special events activities in the Karlsruhe neighborhoods and enjoy the sunny start to spring!
On May 4, the stores in the city center and in Durlach open their doors from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. and invite you to an eventful open Sunday invite you!
Approach
As a high volume of traffic is to be expected in Karlsruhe throughout the weekend, we recommend that you travel by public transport. You can use the P&R parking lots (e.g. Mühlburg train station, Europahalle, Fächerbad), some of which are free of charge. You can find an overview of all Park & Ride sites here.
From the underground stops Marktplatz, Kronenplatz, Ettlinger Tor and Europaplatz/ Postgalerie, all venues can be reached quickly and easily. You can find further information at www.kvv.de.

Between Durlach and Karlsruhe city center
As a special customer service on Sundays when the shops are open, in 2024, in cooperation with the Karlsruhe public transport company the opportunity to travel free of charge on line 1. The tickets were valid on April 28, 2024 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on the route from Europaplatz/Postgalerie to Durlach Turmberg or Durlach Turmberg to Europaplatz/Postgalerie. Tickets will be issued from 22 April 2024 in individual stores in Karlsruhe city center and Durlach. You can find the issuing points here.

The Treffpunkt Schienennahverkehr Karlsruhe e.V. made special trips with historic streetcars possible on the weekend of the event. Every 20 minutes on Saturday between 12:30 and 21:20 and on Sunday from 12:50 to 19:00 between the stops Europaplatz/Postgalerie, Kolpingplatz, Hauptbahnhof and Tivoli, visitors could marvel at the past of local rail transport and travel to the Festival of the Senses in a special way.
