The heart of the city, Karlsruhe's market square, was once again transformed into a true food lover’s paradise in 2026. From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., around 40 select stalls invited visitors to discover and enjoy a wide variety of specialties and delicacies.
Giant XXL flowers created a special atmosphere that invited people to linger. Mobile bands and surprising street art brought a spring-like lightness to the event, while information booths on the adjacent Kaiserstrasse invited visitors to explore.

Street Art & Music 2026

The Karlsruhe-based band "Mobile Gentlemen" , while "Lothar Meunier" immersed the audience in the musical France of the 1930s and 1960s with his accordion and chansons, accompanying the food market with cheerful melodies.
Oh, who's that? The little painter doll "Vincid", the nephew of the great Vincent van Gogh—guided by his creator Andrea—enchanted the crowd at the gourmet market with his self-painted works of art. Although Vincend feels most at home in his studio in France, he came to the Karlsruhe gourmet market for two days. It was definitely worth stopping by and marveling!
Amid the hustle and bustle of the Festival of the Senses, nature also came to life: the "Living Trees" —fascinating, lifelike tree creatures—strolled through the gourmet market, transporting young and old alike into a magical natural world. They invited visitors to take photos, offered protective shade, and even gave out warm hugs.

The Tourist Information at Schaufenster Karlsruhe was also open during the Festival of the Senses weekend. The team on site looked forward to welcoming many visitors on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
