The heart of the city, Karlsruhe's market squarewas once again transformed into a true gourmet oasis in 2025. From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., around 40 selected stalls with a wide variety of specialties and delicacies invite you to discover and enjoy.
Huge XXL flowers and the atmospheric light installation "Under the Garden" by Koros Design immerse the square in a special atmosphere. Inspired by Hungarian folklore, the light installation transports you into a luminous world full of colors and shades. Mobile bands and surprising street art bring a spring-like lightness to the event, while a variety of information stands invite visitors to discover and linger.

Street Art & Music 2025

Timeless hits with saxophone, accordion and double bass are performed by the Karlsruhe band "Mobile Gentlemen" while "Lothar Meunier" will immerse you in the musical France of the 1930s and 1960s with his accordion and chansons.
A sweet, pounding "cook", who you simply have to cuddle, spices up the gourmet market on the market square with funny dance interludes and makes you laugh just by looking at him. He must be a master in the kitchen - and on the street!
Oops, who was that? Equipped with his Segway as a gardener's mobile "Gustav the fast gardener" along Kaiserstraße and the market square. With lots of gardening knowledge, herbalism and humor, he will take you above and below the garden soil. Let yourself be surprised!
Amidst the hustle and bustle of events and the construction sites for the redesign of Kaiserstraße, the "Forest Orchestra" creates a sonorous and idyllic atmosphere to switch off. At the intersection of Lammstrasse and Kaiserstrasse this weekend, you have the opportunity to enter a unique sound space and add your own sounds, so that forest tones are mixed with the sounds of various instruments flying by, creating a forest orchestra. An interactive installation that combines music and nature in the middle of the city.
