Zimtliebe in Karlsruhe makes cinnamon bun dreams come true

Cinnamon bun fans have been getting their money's worth here since April 15, 2023: Zimtliebe at Adlerstraße 40 (opposite Zupfgeige), is within walking distance of Lidellplatz and therefore right in the center of Karlsruhe "We are overwhelmed by the demand," reports owner Moho. "There have already been days when we were sold out before closing time," he says proudly. And there's a reason for that: the cinnamon buns, which are baked according to his mother's recipe, are a slice of pastry heaven. Fluffy, sweet, warm and with their unmistakable sugar-cinnamon aroma, the cinnamon buns make the hearts of Karlsruhe locals beat faster.

"I was inspired by the American chain Cinnabon some time ago in Lebanon," says Moho. "I immediately had the idea of doing something similar for Karlsruhe. A cinnamon bun heaven for the fan-shaped city, so to speak," he smiles. Using his mother's recipe, he then created delicious variations of the cinnamon bun, spiced up with special toppings:
- Classic with frosting
- Pistachio
- Sally Caramel
- Coconut Dream
- Tiramisu
- Cookies
"We have lots more ideas for our cinnamon buns. The next topping for the summer will be mango," reveals the owner. Vegan buns in the classic version, cinnamon buns with lotus cookies or as a sweet apple pie are also part of the Zimtliebe range.
Zimtliebe's to-go cinnamon buns are very popular
The sweet cinnamon buns leave the oven every day from 11 a.m. and are then waiting to be picked up and eaten: "The afternoon is particularly busy and the demand for the cinnamon buns is immense. We can hardly keep up at the moment," says Moho. So if you want to enjoy one of the delicious cinnamon buns, you'd better hurry. Moho sweetens the wait for the cinnamon buns, which are only available to go, with coffee specialties such as latte macchiato, cappuccino, tea or soft drinks.
