Individual management for each neighborhood

From now on, each neighborhood will be accompanied by its own management team, which will provide targeted support to local stakeholders in the implementation of ideas and measures. An important part of their tasks are the so-called neighborhood conferences. These are held quarterly in each neighborhood and offer neighborhood stakeholders the opportunity to discuss current developments, develop measures together, network or form topic-specific action groups.

Marketplace quarter: Architect Dirk Siebels

In the management of the Market Square Quarter architect Dirk Siebels will be working as a freelancer for GMA Ludwigsburg. Siebels has already been commissioned with the implementation of the "Market Square Ground Floor Zones" concept and therefore has extensive knowledge of the structures and framework conditions surrounding the market square quarter. His many years of experience in the development of retail and center concepts in cities such as Heilbronn and Ludwigsburg make him a valuable partner for this project.

Central Kaiserstraße: City consultancy Dr. Sven Fries

The urban consultancy Dr. Sven Fries, founded in 2000, will take over the management of the district management for the Central Kaiserstrasse neighborhood management. This project team is characterized by its participatory and practical approach to shaping urban development processes and has already successfully supported cities such as Speyer, Bonn and Frankfurt in their neighbourhood development.

Erbprinzen-/Herren- und Mittlere Waldstraße: local expertise in action

The team around Lennart Schleifer, Dirk Metzger and Fynn Hug will act as management for the neighborhood merger Waldstrasse, Karlstrasse, Herrenstrasse and Erbprinzenstrasse neighborhood. The Karlsruhe locals are very familiar with the district and want to encourage local stakeholders to drive forward sustainable development. Dirk Metzger and Fynn Hug have already successfully organized an initial neighbourhood conference as the neighbourhood management team for Östliche Kaiserstraße. With these insights and Lennart Schleifer as an experienced networker, communicator and moderator, a competent team is now available to the entire neighborhood.

Promotion of neighborhoods and stakeholder participation

The introduction of neighborhood management and the implementation of neighborhood conferences are decisive steps towards strengthening the neighborhoods and promoting stakeholder participation in the city of Karlsruhe. The city administration is confident that these measures will further advance the "city transformation" and sustainably improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the neighborhoods.

With this innovative approach, Karlsruhe is taking a promising path towards revitalizing its inner city districts and turning them into a vibrant heart of the city.
