Yollie the Popice Café - New in the southern Waldstraße
Newly opened on January 10, 2022, Café Karlsruhe now enchants with exotic flair
The Yollie Café is a place to feel good, unwind and forget everyday life. Yollie (pronounced "Jolly") doesn't just mean happy in English, it also means joie de vivre in Hawaiian - and that's exactly what you can feel in every corner of Waldstraße 85. Here, the friendly owners Franziska Horntrich and her life partner Tobias Hohmeister have managed to conjure up a place that puts you straight in the vacation mood. Colorful rainbow patterns on the walls, summery sounds from the speakers and an interior that is unique in Karlsruhe. Rattan furniture, decorative elements made of raffia, numerous green plants and a bright and friendly atmosphere make you feel right at home.

The centerpiece of the café is, of course, the Pop Ice in addition to all the delicious treats. "Popice is the only fruit ice cream on a stick in Karlsruhe and also the only one in the whole of Germany that is not based on water, but on pure fruit sorbet, without additives or preservatives, with little to no sugar," explains the owner. The ice cream can also be topped with chocolate and other delicacies such as Oreo or Raffaello - a real eye-catcher not only in terms of taste, but also visually!
