New at Kronenplatz in Karlsruhe: Café intro

The café at Kaiserstraße 93 celebrated its opening on May 1, 2021 and is already delighting Karlsruhe residents with its modern interior, delicious coffee specialties, homemade snacks and a special platform for art, culture and science - as part of the "TRIANGEL Open Space".

The "Triangle" is an open-space project of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which consists of three zones: a workshop as an exhibition and communication area, conference rooms for meetings and seminars of all kinds and the new Café intro, where you can relax and immerse yourself in the world of coffee.

In addition to regularly changing events and cultural formatsn by Karlsruhe artists, anyone who is interested and ambitious can also take part and get actively involved. The café's pop-up corner next to the bar provides a special change of pace. New ideas from Karlsruhe will be presented here for three months until January 2022. 

Asparagus, artichokes, chocolate bread - delicious sandwiches & vegan dishes to go!

Perfect for the lunch break as a snack between meals, while shopping or at the end of the day: a proper sandwich is always a good idea! And here the intro offers variations that completely overshadow the usual sandwich: Rye bread with green asparagus, rye bread with dried tomatoes and artichokes, pretzel rolls with camembert and cranberries or the sweet version with chocolate bread, apple and strawberry. Homemade cakes, banana bread and cupcakes also await those with a sweet tooth in Karlsruhe.

The special thing about the menu is that it is always adapted according to the season and time of year - so it's worth visiting regularly. The majority of the menu is vegan and the team attaches great importance to regional and seasonal products.

Karlsruhe coffee specialties in returnable cups 

The intro team consists of seven courageous Karlsruhe coffee enthusiasts who have not shied away from opening a café in the midst of the corona pandemic - so it's no wonder that you can taste the love for coffee beans in every drink and that every specialty in the café impresses with the highest quality workmanship and preparation:

• Espresso Doppio
• Americano
• Cappuccino
• Flat White
• Latte Macchiato

But hot chocolate, chai latte and filter coffee are also on the drinks menu at intro. Soft drinks such as Africola, homemade iced tea, Frohlunder and Muntermate Limo, as well as beer, can also be found in the range. 

The special feature of the coffee specialties is the deposit cup system. Here the intro has teamed up with RECUP and also the self-brought fan cup can also be filled.
