The Ritzler in Karlsruhe - specialist for vintage bikes & more

Fritz-Erler-Straße 11 is home to the specialist store and realm of Andreas Kohlmeier, who already had the idea of his own store when he came to Karlsruhe to study. It all started with his passion for vintage racing bikes. It was clear to the owner from the outset that he never wanted to open just a classic bike workshop, but rather create a paradise for vintage racing bikes - in combination with the individual tailoring of fixie or singlespeed bikes. And the owner has succeeded: The Ritzler is a sought-after address for bike lovers far beyond the city and regional borders.

Vintage racing bikes - classics and one-offs in the Karlsruhe specialist bike store

Fixies and singlespeeds are bikes with only one gear, which are characterized by their steel frame and were originally used as track and racing bikes.

"I used to ride mountain bikes, but then quickly discovered my love for elegant and delicate racing bikes," says the owner. Today, almost 10 years later, he has his own store, has turned his passion into a profession, restores vintage bikes and builds truly unique bikes to customer specifications. With the premises in Kreuzstraße, Andreas Kohlmeier skillfully showcases the racing bikes and their history. Not the classic bicycle workshop, but rather a tribute to the vintage bikes that line the walls of the store.

Genuinely unique, handmade and restored racing bikes leave the store here. "Our warehouse is huge, so we manage to customize the bikes according to the customer's wishes or even restore very old bikes," explains the owner.

The demand for the bikes and repairs from the team led by Andreas Kohlmeier was so great that in 2017 the Ritzlerei in the Oststadt followed.

of the brands: Campagnolo, Tommasini, Bianchi, Pinarello or Gios are all part of the store's range. On site or via the largest store for racing bikes in Germany, there is almost nothing here that is not available and owner Andreas Kohlmeier is rightly proud of this.

The mobile bicycle workshop in Karlsruhe

The Ritzler offers an additional highlight for Karlsruhe companies with its mobile bicycle workshop. Formerly a police bus, now a mobile bicycle workshop, the team comes to Karlsruhe companies and gets employees' bikes rolling again.
