The Gallery32 in Karlsruhe: "I started as an employee and then took over the gallery in 2012," says the owner. In the lovingly designed store, including an open workshop, she was able to create her very own realm of elegance and the art of individual pieces of jewelry.

The special thing about Ulrike Lück's work is the classic approach: "I like to start with a beautiful stone and then work the piece of jewelry around it," she explains. She attaches great importance to using only recycled precious metal and eco-gold: "The refinery in Pforzheim that I work with is certified for this. It is important to me that the precious metal is given a new, second life," explains the master goldsmith.

Preparation of special jewelry and heirlooms

Ulrike Lück also likes to give heirlooms a second life. If you have a stone or an entire piece of jewelry that you would like to give a new shape or even rework into a completely new piece of jewelry, Galerie32 is the right place for you. "The first step is a consultation with the customer, after which I sketch and make a model. I work closely with the customer right through to the finished piece of jewelry so that their wishes can be perfectly implemented," says Ulrike Lück, explaining her approach.

For example, wedding rings that are first woven from grasses and later given their precious metal form. Or I have the bridal couple knead the rings so that both fingerprints are incorporated into the finished rings," explains the owner.

The open workshop at the heart of the gallery32

In addition to the art on the walls and the jewelry in the exhibition areas, the open workshop is undoubtedly the focal point of the beautiful gallery. Here, Karlsruhe residents can watch repairs and new creations being made on site and be enchanted by this very special craft.

Not only her own collections, which include both women's and men's jewelry, but also pieces of jewelry and collections by around 30 other artists from all over Germany are part of the range here. "I want to give others the opportunity to use my gallery as a platform," explains Ulrike Lück. In addition to the showcases and exhibition areas for jewelry, the walls of the gallery are also used for presentation. "I show works such as photographs, paintings and object art here in changing exhibitions," says Lück. So it's no wonder that the people of Karlsruhe regularly visit the gallery on Lidellplatz!
