Artist Marvin Meyer and his wife Heidi Bouché have given the former Ast Art Café a makeover and realized their dream of owning their own café at 69 Waldstraße Süd. Here you will find a new concept that combines a café, art, and lounge in a completely new atmosphere.

A location with a special, artistic flair – Café Rosé in Karlsruhe

The former ballet dancer and the Karlsruhe artist have redesigned the premises at Waldstraße 69 with great attention to detail and incorporated their very own style: the entrance area now appears elegant, purist, and with a few pink accents, while the rear part of the café invites guests to linger with its stylish gray tones and comfortable upholstered furniture.

Café Rosé is a place where you can relax with specialty coffees or a glass of wine, enjoy art, and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. "Our dream was to combine art and enjoyment. We had had the idea of a café that turns into a wine lounge in the evening, combined with art exhibitions, for quite some time. I had already worked at the former Ast Art Café, which was located in these premises, and when the opportunity arose, we took over the premises from Patrick Markaj and realized our own concept," explains Marvin. At the beginning of November 2025, Marvin and Heidi were able to open the doors to Rosé for the first time and delight the people of Karlsruhe with an elegant feel-good atmosphere. "It's important to us that our guests can relax, enjoy themselves, and discover art here," says Heidi. And culinary delights are clearly the focus at Rosé:

  • Wines from Italy and the Palatinate
  • Antipasti
  • Cheese from France
  • Various cakes
  • Spritzes
  • Long drinks
  • coffee specialties

Here, guests can feast to their heart's content and enjoy a relaxing break in the southern Waldstraße.

Tastings, vernissages, and private parties at Café Rosé in Karlsruhe

Currently still in hibernation, the two owners are looking forward to opening the cozy courtyard of Café Rosé when the weather gets warmer. They also have big plans for Rosé's future: vernissages, tastings, and live music. "We have lots of ideas for the people of Karlsruhe and are excited to be able to offer them here at Rosé," explains Marvin.

Whether for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, or other private occasions, the café's premises in Karlsruhe can also be used for private events at any time. "Of course, we advise and assist our guests in this regard and can also provide catering if desired," says Heidi.

Let yourself be enchanted by Café Rosé and get to know this new, special location in the southern Waldstraße with a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a delicious piece of cake!
