Since late July 2023, the finest Asian delicacies, combined with a street food vibe, have been waiting for the residents of Karlsruhe at Chao! Vietnam. The authentic restaurant, located in the former premises of Krua Thai at Passagehof 28, is run by the Nguyen family. The family’s goal: to bring the flavors and tastes of their homeland to Karlsruhe!

From hearty soups like pho bo—the fragrant traditional rice noodle soup with a delicate spiced broth, beef, and fresh herbs—to the popular udon noodle soup or sup mien ga, a glass noodle soup with chicken and vegetables, as well as delicious curries in a spicy coconut sauce, right down to homemade spring rolls. If you love Asian food, you must visit Chao! Vietnam and let the Nguyen family treat you to a culinary delight. A particularly popular dish on the menu is Bun Cha—grilled pork belly marinated in a secret recipe and served with a sweet lime dip, rice noodles, salad, and fresh herbs.

Sharing many of the delicious dishes and enjoying them together - with the concept of Vietnamese tapas, Chao! Vietnam allows you to immerse yourself in the culinary diversity of the cuisine and try as much as possible. Here you can choose from a total of 23 tapas:

• Summer rolls with vegetables, chicken, prawns, tofu or beef
• Spring rolls with pork, beef or vegetarian
• Gyoza (steamed or deep-fried dumplings)
• Papaya salad
• Edamame (steamed soybeans with sea salt)
• Mini curries with chicken or tofu
• Soups (for example the spicy lemongrass soup or soup with dumplings)

The choice is huge! As a special combo, you can get any three tapas for just €15.00, both at lunchtime and in the evening.

Chao! Vietnam opens its doors daily at 11:00 a.m. and is open until 10:00 p.m. for the people of Karlsruhe. You can end the day in the wonderful outdoor area with Hugo, Aperol Spritz, fruit shakes or homemade iced teas and sodas and enjoy Asian tapas in the Passagehof.
