Open Monument Day® in the KulturRegion
Karlsruhe
September 13, 2026
Under the theme “NETZwerke: Monuments & Infrastructure,” doors across the country that are normally closed to the public will once again open this year, with free admission. In 2026, Open Monument Day in Karlsruhe will also be dedicated to “200 Years of Weinbrenner.”
Karlsruhe's city architect Friedrich Weinbrenner (1766–1826) had a decisive influence on the cityscape of Karlsruhe with his classicist buildings and urban planning. Numerous buildings and squares can be traced back to his designs. Guided tours, concerts, and sightseeing tours bring this architectural heritage to life.
