Long-distance cycle paths
Karlsruhe borders on four important long-distance routes: the Rhine/Rhine Cycle Route, the Rhine Valley Trail, the Black Forest Trail and the Stromberg-Murrtal Cycle Route. The cross-border "Paneuropa Cycle Route" even leads from France's capital Paris via Karlsruhe to the Czech Republic, making it internationally renowned.

The Baden Wine Cycle Route connects the Baden wine regions of Markgräflerland, Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg, Breisgau, Ortenau, Kraichgau and Badische Bergstraße over a distance of around 460 kilometers.
The Baden Wine Cycle Route begins in Grenzach on the German-Swiss border and continues via the Isteiner Klotz through Markgräflerland. The Tuniberg and Kaiserstuhl invite you to cycle further north and explore the terraced vineyards. Alternatively, you can choose the alternative route past Freiburg's old town and the Glottertal valley. Cyclists reach the Ortenau region through the vineyards of the Breisgau.
Passing Ortenberg Castle, the route continues towards Karlsruhe and turns off into the Kraichgau region near Bruchsal. Heidelberg is then a real gem before the cycle route ends in Laudenbach on the Badische Bergstraße. -
Varied - decide for yourself whether you want to cycle the Rhine Cycle Route, also known as D-Route 8 or EuroVelo15, on the right bank of the Rhine in Germany or on the left bank in France. The Rhine Cycle Route is 320 kilometers long and you can cross the Rhine several times from Weil am Rhein via Basel to Lampertheim via bridges and ferries.

A must for fans of the Black Forest: around 370 kilometers through the Black Forest from Karlsruhe to Lörrach. Here, the Black Forest shows its wild and romantic side, its dark coniferous forests, which have been the basis for many fairy tales, and its lush green meadows, which invite you to dream - beautiful views included.

City - country - river, water - forests - wine, the Stromberg-Murrtal-Weg from Karlsruhe to Gaildorf has many triads. From the lively city center of Karlsruhe, the route leads through picturesque Durlach to Pfinztal. You should plan a stopover at the UNESCO World Heritage Maulbronn Monastery as well as the historic city center of Bietigheim and the Schiller town of Marbach. If you just can't get enough of the north of Baden-Württemberg, continue on the Kocher-Jagst cycle path from Gaildorf.

Discovering Europe by bike is easy with the Pan-European Cycle Route. It connects several existing long-distance cycle routes from Paris to Prague. The German section of the route runs through the middle of southern Germany from Kehl am Rhein to the Czech border. In Karlsruhe, the Pan-European Cycle Route runs congruently with the Rhine Valley Cycle Route.
