's Fachl - a new concept for Karlsruhe
Art, cuisine, crafts - 's Fachl now offers a platform for micro and small producers in the heart of Karlsruhe!
Since April 23, 2021, the fan-shaped city has been enriched by a special shopping concept: a sales area for regional and national products directly in Karlsruhe's city center. At Ritterstraße 3, 's Fachl is the place to discover exceptional and lovingly crafted products.
The 's Fachl concept now also inspires Karlsruhe
With the opening of the first 's Fachl in Vienna in 2015, ten more main locations and eight 's Fachl corners in Austria, Germany and Switzerland were quickly added. Alongside Passau, Karlsruhe is currently the only location in the south of Germany - and Karlsruhe can be proud of this, as the concept is a real secret to success.
's Fachl is a rental shelf concept that enables regional producers to rent affordable retail space in stationary retail stores. Each sales area corresponds to a "Fachl", which means "box" in Austrian. Each 's Fachl location has between 40 and 400 Fachl, depending on the size of the store. These are rented out and then filled with goods by artists, manufacturers, creative people and hobbyists. The result is a colorful mix of products that you won't find in regular retail stores.

The concept not only offers a wide range of products for customers, but also benefits its "tenants". Renting a Fachl is very simple: "All you need to do is contact us informally by phone or email. We will advise you and select the right Fachl," explains owner Sebastian Metz. Another major advantage for tenants is the location in Ritterstraße, right in the heart of the city center, in part of the former Döring toy store. No wonder the Fachl is already filling up steadily.
When you enter the store, you immediately notice how much love has gone into the design of the individual shelves: Beautifully draped works of art made of fabric, designed and created by the designer himself, delicious delicacies, colorful soaps or artfully designed pieces of jewelry. Here you can browse for your favorite pieces.
The current product range in Ritterstrasse also includes groceries such as

- Spirits
- Wines
- Gins
- Chocolate
But products such as soaps, jewelry, ceramics, essences, scented candles, beeswax cloths and much more can also be found in the shops. The special thing here is that the range is constantly changing. A regular visit to the Karlsruher 's Fachl is therefore worthwhile.
The 's Fachl network also enables suppliers from Austria or the whole of Germany to rent a Fachl here in the fan-shaped city. However, the aim is to bring the 's Fachl platform closer to regional manufacturers, producers and creatives, says the owner. The shelves already contain Karlsruhe specialties such as Breaks Gin, Fächerbräu or soaps from the soap magic. Of course, all those who have taken their first steps towards commerce or who want to do so are also allowed to present themselves there: "We have many tenants who offer the work from their hobby for sale here," explains Sebastian Metz. For example, there are beautifully knotted macramé or self-sewn rucksacks and bags from private individuals who have turned their passion into a sideline.
