Bar Joli opens its doors in Karlsruhe's Blumenstraße

Warm wooden elements, pleasant lighting, stylish seating in partially separated seating niches and a menu of selected drinks - the two owners know how to create a very special ambience. Salih and Luisa officially opened the doors of their bar Joli at Blumenstraße 23 in Karlsruhe, within walking distance of Ludwigsplatz, with a successful soft opening on August 8, 2024. When they took over the property, Salih and Luisa quickly realized that this was no ordinary bar. At Joli, style and enjoyment are paramount.

"We don't offer beer or Red Bull, we have signature drinks that we create ourselves, such as

• Sakura (gin, cherry blossom, beet, lemon, tonic water)
• Honey Rush (vodka, honey, rhubarb, vermouth, soda)
• Berry Smash (gin, blueberry, yogurt, croissant, lemon)
• Pandan Sour (gin, pandan, peach, lemon)
• Pear Essence (vodka, pear, cinnamon, lemon thyme, red clover)
• Another Mint (gin, cucumber, white tea, elderberry, eucalyptus)

as well as selected aperitifs and spirits on the menu," says Salih. There is a changing menu with specials to suit the season. "All of our drinks are handmade by professional bartenders with great attention to detail and freshly prepared. With Joli, we want to offer all Karlsruhe residents a bar where they can enjoy a stylish drink with friends or colleagues in a cozy atmosphere and perhaps get started on the Karlsruhe night scene from here. The club En Vogue is practically on our doorstep," adds Luisa.

The name of the bar Joli also fits in well with the concept of the quarter near Karlsruhe's Ludwigplatz. Ludwigplatzwhich includes localities and bars such as La Cagethe En Vogue or Jean Claude.

In addition to running the bar, the two owners also want to offer Karlsruhe residents various events. Cocktail courses and various tastings are already being planned. "Of course, our premises can also be booked for private parties of up to 100 people," explains Salih:

"We also have a DJ here from time to time, but most of the time we want to focus on soft background music so that our guests can have a pleasant conversation," says Salih, describing Joli's concept.
