Culinary indulgence at the EigenArt restaurant
German-Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of the fan-shaped city
Fresh flowers and natural materials adorn the tables, and the bright and friendly atmosphere captivates guests from the moment they arrive—this is EigenArt in the heart of the fan-shaped city. The culinary team led by Christian Boldmüller and Michael Sachs has created an exclusive oasis of indulgence here and is dedicated to seasonal cuisine: "Upscale, but not pretentious – that's our philosophy, which we want to convey with EigenArt," explains the friendly owner Christian Boldmüller. The young team prepares every dish fresh, individually, and with great attention to detail for its guests.
EigenArt: German-Mediterranean cuisine, prepared in the traditional way and interpreted in a unique style. The team has set itself the goal of cooking with lots of fresh, regional organic ingredients: "Delicious, fair, sustainable – enjoy with a clear conscience!" With this principle, the restaurant is once again listed in the Slow Food Guide this year. This guide includes restaurants that create transparency in the relationships between producers, retailers, and chefs, promote fair and respectful treatment of people, animals, and the environment, preserve traditional recipes, and protect biodiversity in nature.
Market-fresh lettuce, house-marinated salmon, pink sirloin steak from SHA organic farm pigs, roast beef from pasture-raised cattle, or saffron chili risotto with goat cheese strudel—this is where food lovers' hearts beat faster.
For those with a sweet tooth, EigenArt also offers a wide selection ranging from fresh sorbets to chocolate tarts and crème brûlées.
The EigenArt kitchen is currently conjuring up a spring menu that already whets the appetite for summer:
Wild garlic cream soup, followed by tender roast leg of Frisian lamb with Jerusalem artichokes, green beans, braised tomatoes, and polenta, and a curd cheese tart with chocolate nougat ice cream and pineapple as the crowning finale. In addition to culinary delights, the chic restaurant also attracts guests with changing art exhibitions and a candlelit piano evening that takes place once a month.
The restaurant's current dishes and menus can be found on the website and Facebook .
