Since September 2020, the artist couple from Karlsruhe have also been selling homemade treats in their specialty bakery

Located at Akademiestraße 48 - near the Prinz-Max-Palais Prinz-Max-Palais - since September of this year, the specialty bakery ANA & ANDA can be found here. At the age of 51, ANDA decided to start her first vocational training as a master baker. She was actively supported by ANA. On August 11, 2020, the two were delighted to receive ANDA's master baker title and entry in the register of skilled trades. The opening of the specialty bakery followed immediately afterwards. The two have documented their journey documented on their blog.

The special thing about their bakery is that the owners do not use any additives or artificial aids in the production of their baked goods and work exclusively with natural ingredients. However, this in no way compromises on taste - quite the opposite: customers are delighted with the unadulterated baked goods and appreciate ANA & ANDA's creations for their natural taste.

Sourdough, olive & chestnut rolls straight from Karlsruhe city center

The daily changing range of breads and rolls at ANA & ANDA has already been met with great enthusiasm by the people of Karlsruhe. The two owners rely on their own sourdough, from which the popular breads and rolls are made by hand using traditional methods. They like to experiment and mix things up creatively: whether vegetable, potato, tomato or rye mixed bread, spicy olive rolls, Swiss pretzels, chestnut rolls or Weggli. The specialty bakery brings a varied selection of tasty and natural breads and rolls to the breakfast and snack table at home.

Organic products, regional ingredients & natural sweeteners

Those with a sweet tooth will get their money's worth here, because natural sweetness in pastries is ANA & ANDA's recipe for success. The focus is clearly on enjoyment. The baked goods, based on recipes developed by the two bakery owners themselves, impress with their full-bodied and delicious taste. Without prior knowledge, you would never guess that the recipes do not contain any added sugar. They bake with organic butter and high-quality olive oil. For the two owners, it goes without saying that they use organic products and regional ingredients.

The two also create masterpieces during the Christmas season, such as

  • and yeast pastries

- ANA & ANDA's Advent and Christmas cookies are of course also completely free from added sugar. Well, if that's nothing for the Advent and Christmas table!
