Coffee roaster Ettli in Karlsruhe focuses on sustainability

Founded in 1932 in Ettlingen's Leopoldstrasse by Hermann Hauck, the company was handed over to his son-in-law Herbert Rupp in 1962, laying the foundations for the family success story of Ettli was laid. By 1984, Ettli was already shipping 20 tons of roasted coffee a year from its headquarters all over the world. Ettli has continued to develop to this day, but has remained true to its love of coffee beans and the family tradition.

Genuinely sustainable - a sign for Karlsruhe at Ettli

With a sustainable product range and a corporate responsibility towards the environment, Ettli has created the "Echt Ettli" sustainability stamp. The stamp identifies all sustainable products and informs customers why the products are sustainable. But what exactly is sustainability at Ettli?

"Echt Ettli" means that the coffee is packaged in reusable containers under a photovoltaic system. The label also states that the company's employees only drive electric cars and that the suppliers and craftsmen come from the region. The coffee is sold in 100% recyclable to-go cups and the monthly coffee comes in reusable coffee cans.
