Opened in December 2019, the espresso bar has stood for the finest coffee specialties, moments of indulgence and a real feel-good atmosphere for several years now. "Our bar and cucina is small and refined and aims to bring a piece of Italy to Waldstraße for the people of Karlsruhe," explains owner Gabie. "This also includes a coffee and homemade cornetti in the morning or an aperól spritz in the evening," she adds.

The centerpieces in summer are the two outdoor areas: comfortable seating in front of the espresso bar with a view of the southern Waldstraße and the cozy courtyard under the trees. "It's important to us that everyone feels comfortable here and can have a good time. Whether it's a quick espresso in the morning, a lunch with colleagues or an after-work drink with friends," says Helmuth Ostermeier, head caterer at "DAS FEST". Every lunchtime, he conjures up the changing dishes in front of the guests in his small kitchen right in the espresso bar.

"Our premises can also be booked for private parties and events. Civil weddings and small-scale Christmas parties, for example, are very popular," says Gabie. All kinds of unusual catering can also be booked at the Espressobar. The two owners are always coming up with special events for the people of Karlsruhe: "We recently had the Gastrohopping here in the southern Waldstraße, where a number of restaurateurs joined forces and presented a menu sequence in the respective locations. Or our regulars' wine table with exquisite wines," says Helmuth. On Wednesdays from 18:00, the Aperoo attracts guests to the espresso bar with various culinary highlights.
