About the project

On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the city of Karlsruhe the Karlsruhe Volunteer Program was launched in 2015. Since then, the volunteers in Karlsruhe have regularly volunteered at major events, but also at a large number of smaller events. events in action.

The volunteer program is managed on behalf of the City of Karlsruhe by the KME Karlsruhe Marketing and Event GmbH and the KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH. The so-called "full-time volunteer management" is the first point of contact for the city administration, organizers and interested new volunteers. On the other hand, there is the team of spokespersons as the honorary volunteer management, consisting of and elected by active volunteers. The numerous volunteers, the Karlsruhe Volunteers, form the basis of the program.
