Parade Tempor'air -
Performance for the
Fête de la Musique
June 21, 2022
Parade Tempor'air
The French hip-hop duo Kévin Briot and Aurélien Salzard created a show with breakdance, hip-hop and freestyle dance elements as part of a workshop in Karlsruhe, which then took place as a parade along Kaiserstraße in keeping with the traditional Fête de la Musique. From 6 p.m. to around 8 p.m., the parade led from Kronenplatz via Marktplatz to Stephanplatz - all along Kaiserstraße, which has been free of traffic since December 2021.
Hip-hop workshop
The best part? Anyone aged 8 and over could take part! The free workshop held before the parade offered both professional dancers and enthusiastic amateurs the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of hip-hop and breakdancing with freestyle elements. A collective performance was rehearsed to illustrate the global significance of hip-hop, particularly in the French-speaking world. African and Arabic influences created a very special artistic dynamic. The workshop took place on 19.06.2022, from 10:00 to 18:00 and on 20.06.2022, from 17:30 to 20:30 at the Kulturzentrum Tempel, Hardtstraße 37a, 76185 in Karlsruhe. Participation was free of charge.
As part of this innovative dance project, the two Karlsruhe-based cultural centers Tempel e. V. and the Centre Culturel Franco-Allemand Foundation.
