Advent surprises in the Kaiserstrasse 2021
The festive kick-off to the "train-free" Kaiserstrasse as part of the 2021 Advent program with a Christmas and bright surprise program
After the opening of the light rail tunnel on 11 December 2021, visitors to Karlsruhe's city center could expect a surprise program on Kaiserstraße, which could be experienced across its entire width, from 13 December instead of streetcars. The popular shopping street in the section from Kronenplatz to Europaplatz regularly became a stage for small and large, Christmas and illuminated cabaret.
From the five-metre-high giants of light, the DUNDUs, to the sweet temptations of Monsieur Chocolat and the LED show ballet"Light of Dance". Kaiserstraße was also immersed in bright colors and Christmas sounds by the following artists: Sternenglück, Bastians Schneekugel, Diamanten, Fahrendes Weihnachtsorchester, Dancing Santa Clauses and Einhorn & Lichterfee. Big surprises were provided by Gingerbread Time, Mrs. and Mr. Pepper, Living Christmas Tree and Santa in the Sky. The Christ Child was also out and about just before Christmas!
So it was always worthwhile to be out and about in Karlsruhe and take a look at the new "rail-free" Kaiserstraße!
