Evangelical City Church Durlach
Am Zwinger 5, 76227 Karlsruhe
An invitation for everyone who likes excellent jazz music and wants to do good at the same time. On November 29, 2019, you can look forward to the pre-Christmas benefit concert of the Lions Club Karlsruhe-Turmberg e. V., this year for the first time in the centrally located Evangelische Stadtkirche Durlach.the benefit concert of a special kind - the charity Lions-Club Karlsruhe Turmberg e. V. is once again collecting money for a good cause in 2019. They will receive musical support from the exceptional artists Peter Lehel, Sandra Hartmann and Peter Schindler, who are well-known beyond the region. Peter Lehel, saxophonist, bass clarinettist, composer, arranger and internationally renowned artist, knows how to give each of his instruments its own characteristic charm and sound culture. Peter Schindler has given the love poems of Heine, Mörike, Goethe and Schiller a new polish, so that the familiar words touch the listener in a completely new way. The language of the poets loses none of its power and beauty in Schindler's musical language, which is influenced by jazz, pop and world music, but is cast in a new light, with singer Sandra Hartmann expressively interpreting each individual line of poetry and thus inventing her own interpretation. Together with Peter Schindler, she won the Baden-Württemberg Kleinkunstpreis (cabaret prize).for a good cause Part of the proceeds from the concert will go to the Arista hospice in Ettlingen. An important institution in the region that aims to make life worth living for as long as possible, even in death. The second part supports the language development of children with a migrant background in the focal point kindergartens and elementary school in order to facilitate their integration into society.
