He's actually the true "it" girl of pop culture, the Paris Hilton with a trench coat and coffee breath: the detective. What would countless films, series and radio plays be without him? Completely unthinkable. In "Sherlock Holmes - and the League of Extraordinary Detectives", the Vollplaybacktheater is now paying tribute to him. Of course, the six theater punks with a suspension railroad background already have a long history with private investigators: The VPT from Wuppertal has dedicated various stage plays to the first detective Justus Jonas and his two loyal junkyard ultras in particular - but the show goes far beyond that: superheroes are called together again and again. Someone has to save this world. From the very beginning, the VPT's superpower has always been to have fun with the crazy idea. A large part of the fascination of this collective lies in the fact that they simply do what they feel like doing. Crafting a punchline where it's almost obvious in a familiar youth radio play, building an additional prop because it's just cool - or even creating an incredibly entertaining stage play from this idea of a really big snoopers' get-together.
