Open House 2026 at the Federal Constitutional Court
The Federal Constitutional Court is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, it will hold an open house at its headquarters in the Schlossbezirk district of Karlsruhe on May 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We cordially invite you to join us. Take a tour of the courthouse, learn about the role and work of the Federal Constitutional Court, and talk with the court’s staff.
You can also look forward to a varied program:
Interviews and panel discussions with the justices of the Federal Constitutional Court, performances of the play “Wir das Grundgesetz” by the Foundation for the Sites of German Democratic History, the installation “W.” by artist Ute Friederike Jürß, an exhibition on “Life Inside the Federal Constitutional Court,” creative activities for children, and much more.
For safety reasons, admission is limited to approximately 5,000 people. You can book a free ticket for the open house online via this link. You will receive further important information regarding admission when you book.
On the day of the event, a limited number of tickets will be available for walk-ins, so that even those who decide at the last minute will have the opportunity to take a look inside the Federal Constitutional Court during the open house.
We look forward to your visit!
