Public discussion evening on the given question "How do you feel about the right to freely express your opinion?" as part of the accompanying program for the installation THE CAGE in the Protestant City Church as part of the International Weeks Against Racism.
"How do you feel about the right to freely express your opinion?"
Speaking connects. Listening changes.
"Talking & Listening in the Neighborhood" is a public event series organized by the Alliance for Democracy and Human Rights in Karlsruhe.Â
The idea is simple: people come together and share their experiences on a common issue. And others listen—without interruption, without judgment. The result is surprising and touching: trust, openness, and a feeling of reconnection.Â
The "Talking & Listening" format, developed by Mehr Demokratie e.V., offers a counterbalance to increasing polarization and mistrust. It promotes understanding and communication across differences of opinion.Â
As part of International Weeks Against Racism, "Speaking & Listening in the Neighborhood" will take place in the Evangelical City Church as part of the accompanying program for Fahar Al-Salih's installation "THE CAGE." The question posed is: "How do you feel about the right to freely express your opinion?"
Moderators Corinna Willhöft and Andrea Sauermost are specially trained for this format and ensure an open and trusting atmosphere. Â
