The air is getting thinner and thinner for the man of the 21st century: his car will soon be driving off on its own. Without technical aids, he won't even be able to find his way to the closet. And the industry is developing robots that can be programmed for "cuddly sex". So does man as we know him belong on the endangered species list? Or can he show that he is still good for something after all?
In any case, Peter Vollmer always strives to remain indispensable to his wife and children as a father, breadwinner and understanding person. He is therefore even prepared to cook (with the Thermomix), live healthily (about once a week) and strictly adhere to the prescribed food combining diet (first the chips, then the sausage).
At one point, he even manages to become a real hero. By saving the family from a dangerous spider that was making the bathroom at home unsafe. (And it wasn't that difficult. All he had to do was bring it in from the nearby pet shop).
And if his wife usually views him with the greatest skepticism, here she readily admits it: Husbands can be gods too!
