PLANETARIUM Durlach
A project of the cultural association "Die Orgelfabrik - Kultur in Durlach e.V." and the astrophotographers and journalists Gernot Meiser & Pascale Demy
Just in time for its 10th anniversary, the spaceship Orgelfabrik is once again going into orbit around Durlach: From June 10 to 26. June 2022, the mobile planetarium by Gernot Meiser & Pascale Demy will be making a guest appearance at the invitation of the Orgelfabrik cultural hall of the Orgelfabrik.
For two weeks, young and old star travelers can expect not only elaborate planetarium shows in the modern projection dome, which can otherwise only be seen in large planetariums, but also many children's and family programs, special events for schools and concerts. Of course, there are also in-house productions and live shows, which make up the very special charm of the PLANETARIUM Durlach.
Many programs are productions of the Zeiss-Planetarium Jena, the oldest planetarium in the world. Thanks to a close cooperation, we can also show their blockbuster production "Dinosaurs" as well as the music shows "Space Tour" and "Dimensions" on two Zeiss-Planetarium Jena days (SO 19.6. and SA 25.6.).
Programs for children and young people are a particular focus this year. Every weekday at 3 p.m. there will be a special family show for young star researchers and other explorers. For the first time, PLANETARIUM Durlach is also presenting fulldome productions on general themes such as music (The Music Tree), trees (The Secret of Trees) and dinosaurs.
In addition to the large planetarium program, visitors can once again enjoy free admission to the popular star cinema with a new program and an exhibition all about the sun.
