The significance of the Leipzig Monday demonstrations for the end of the GDR will shortly be the subject of a dialogical tour of the exhibition.
In addition, various works by international artists will be shown that deal with aspects of monumentalization (especially in relation to Leipzig and the surrounding area as well as the Monday demonstrations), mostly in various video formats. The tour looks at both the content and curatorial aspects of the exhibition. Monument processes will be viewed as negotiation processes and the significance of monuments for us will be examined.
