The “My Karlsruhe Talks” dialogue series, organized in cooperation with the ZEIT Publishing Group, is all about listening to one another, engaging in discussion, and working together to strengthen democratic action.
Combining the well-known “My Country Talks” and “My University Talks” formats, we are bringing these events to the
Days of Democracy , we’re bringing KIT members into dialogue with people from the city.
At the heart of the initiative is algorithm-based matching software that specifically brings together people with different views on a topic in one place for a conversation. After a brief introduction to the topic, participants receive a QR code and fill out an anonymous questionnaire. Based on these responses, participants are “matched” with one another and engage in a 45-minute conversation. Finally, there will be a joint wrap-up session. The event is offered in multiple languages (English, French, German).
Feel free to bring picnic blankets and stools. We’ll provide the popsicles!
Together, we’ll transform Kronenplatz into a vibrant space for dialogue.
