Eight teenagers who belong to a paramilitary unit in a remote mountainous region of Colombia receive their orders via a messenger from the "organization" that pulls the strings in the background and controls the operations. Their latest assignment: to take good care of an American hostage named Doctora. The young savages pass the time with playful activities, team-building training methods and ritual ceremonies, but when they receive another assignment from the commander to look after and regularly milk a dairy cow called Shakira, and when their leader commits suicide, the already complex group dynamics are set in motion and tensions arise. Until they decide to break away from the "organization". But what happens to the hostage?
This film, which has been shown at numerous festivals and won many awards, is loosely based on William Golding's Lord of the Flies and features breathtaking nature shots as well as a fantastic score by exceptional composer Mica Levi.
