The craft lab is run by Franziska Poike from Parents for Future e. V. She works as an animator, storyboarder, character designer and project manager for cinema, television, advertising, children's series, games, web design, short films and documentaries.
She developed Kit Klimamonster together with a team from Parents for Future. The friendly monster introduces children and their families to a sustainable way of life in a low-threshold and solution-oriented way.
In the current edition of our Days of Sustainability is all about flow. How do we want to shape our future? What are the good examples, the right stories to bring life in the world into a good flow in the future?
Water forms the basis of our lives. It covers more than two thirds of our planet and has important climate-regulating functions. Numerous plankton organisms populate our oceans and incidentally produce around half of the oxygen we breathe. Water is life. It makes up the majority of our bodies and connects us humans with nature in a unique way. Water is an indispensable resource that ensures survival on this planet.
How can art and science cross-fertilize each other on these topics? We are pursuing this question in a symphony concert, panel discussions, exhibitions, science walks, workshops and a big poetry slam together with our partners in sustainability: ZKM|Karlsruhe, Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, Alfred Wegener Institute, TOLLHAUS, TRIANGEL Transfer | Culture | Space, KAT Karlsruhe Transformation Center for Sustainability and Cultural Change (KAT), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Badisches Landesmuseum and KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH
