Under the theme “Lounge 76 at the Market Square,” Karlsruhe’s Market Square will once again be transformed into a stylish oasis of relaxation on several summer weekends this year.
On four Fridays, you can enjoyan after-work vibe with a variety of DJs, refreshing cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere around the famous pyramid.On Saturdays, there’s a lounge event.

May 15 & 16, 2026
The first "Lounge 76" of 2026 on the market square will be lit up in the colors of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 16. This is in celebration of the ESC final taking place on Saturday in Vienna and the big public viewing party hosted by SWR3 at the Schwarzwaldhalle. On the market square, 22 light beams, among other things, will create the typical ESC light show, and children and adults alike can relax on a mobile swing by the water feature well into the night. At the “Customize Your Style – Voll auf die Mütze” booth, visitors can also design their own personalized cap—featuring “Karlsruhe 12 Points” patches, among other options—and create a lovely souvenir.
