Art exhibition series of the "hubRäumle" - Heidrun MalComes
With the vernissage on April 10 at 6 p.m., Grötzingen-based artist Heidrun MalComes returns to the "hubRäumle" and presents her top-class works under the theme "Between The Lines" until May 20.
The graduate communication designer, professional photographer, author and artist from Hesse has been exhibiting her photographs, paintings and sculptures in Germany and abroad since 1983. Since then, Heidrun MalComes has received numerous awards and prizes for her artistic work, most recently a first and second art prize in international competitions in 2021. Many of her works are in private and public ownership.
After many years as an art director, she became self-employed just in time for the millennium and has been living and working in Grötzingen since 2005, where she has her studio in her house on Pfinzufer and, since 2016, the KUBA gallery in the town center, which is known to many art lovers through the masterpieces events, the open studios and the Grötzingen cultural mile.
In the "hubRäumle", she is also showing some fluid paintings (hence the exhibition title), which support the theme of pareidolia and can create an exciting discourse between the viewers of these works and the artist's intuition, especially in these "special" times when "the world has become a different place". A special insight that one can gain about oneself and the unconscious within oneself.
The "hubRäumle" will also be showing the "virgin" beginning of a photo series that is still being expanded. As a professional photographer, Heidrun MalComes, who can certainly be described as an Anglophile, has fallen in love with beautiful Cornwall in southern England. It was there, in the magical, enchanted world of Golitha Falls, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, that she created the basis of her photo series.
