Queen of Germany
Beautiful is different... Beauty contest comedy by William Danne
Unterkarlsbach - a tranquil village in Baden - has been awarded the contract to host this year's "Queen of Germany" beauty contest. Only: nobody has opened the letter of acceptance. And the event is already tomorrow! The head of the village, Clemens, and his buddy Bernie are doing their utmost to spruce up the run-down clubhouse for the competition when competition president Heidrun von Stolz appears at the door.
While Clemens sells the clubhouse to the shocked president as a hip insider tip for the rich and beautiful, Bernie is forced to slip into the role of the reigning "potato queen" of Baden. When the first competitors arrive, Bernie inevitably throws herself into a rehearsal marathon that includes everything from a folkloristic entrance to a talent show and a presentation in swimwear.
But something is wrong - apart from the potato queen - because one queen after another disappears. Will Bernie make it to the final in one piece? Or even become "Queen of Germany" as a potato beauty?
Experience "All this and much more..." in a musical beauty comedy that puts the icing on the cake.
Background information
In fact, the queens of Germany meet every three years at the German Queen's Day, be it the Brown Swiss Queen, the Wine Queen or the Sugar Beet Queen. Chamber Theater director William Danne has taken inspiration from this and written a truly hilarious comedy.
