The food of the Majas and Incas for parents/grandparents and children aged 6 to 12
The Incas were the indigenous people of South America and had their heyday in the 13th-16th centuries. This corresponds roughly to our Middle Ages, but the Incas lived more like people did here in the Bronze Age. What food was available to the Incas? Together with Nils Stadje, a qualified archaeologist and trained chef, we will embark on a culinary journey into the past. The course consists of a 30-minute theoretical introduction to the eating and cooking habits of the Incas and then we'll get started and conjure up a delicious menu that would have pleased King Kuzko. Meat and dairy products will be included, but we can also discuss vegetarian and vegan options in advance. The Incas cooked a lot with intestines such as liver, kidney, heart and tongue. We are happy to do this for those who want to try it. As I said, we'll discuss everything in advance.
Vegetarians and vegans are requested to contact the course instructor before registering (via the vhs).
