This year, the HfG Karlsruhe literature seminar will once again be represented at the Karlsruhe Literature Days with a reading performance by KLAK, the LIFT reading. KLAK is the university's Karlsruhe Literature Vending Machine Collective and operates the book vending machine of the same name at the ZKM. LIFT is the university's freight elevator. LIFT is converted for the Literature Days. Ten listeners plus a liftboy will travel to each of the building's three floors. When the elevator doors open, the view of authors reading their texts becomes clear. This allows the audience to navigate through different text levels at the touch of a button. At the end of a passage, the elevator boy asks the passengers to get off and a new group can check in for the reading journey. All the texts presented were written in the literature seminar at the HfG Karlsruhe under the direction of Prof. Dr. Krass and will later be available under the title MORD im Bücherautomaten.
