KazKon 2026
For the past four years, KazKon has been the regional gathering place for enthusiasts of all ages interested in cosplay, comics, manga, science fiction, fantasy literature, and mystical worlds. Itgrew out of the ECKKULTURdörfle cultural festival.Â
The family-friendly program offers something for everyone—both for those who just want to watch or listen in peace (e.g., readings) and for those who want to take center stage themselves (e.g., cosplay contest, workshops).Â
Manga, anime, and cosplay culture is enjoying steadily growing popularity and reach in Germany and is playing an important role in the leisure activities and identity formation of an increasing number of teenagers and young adults. This scene is characterized by a very peaceful atmosphere, a high level of creativity, craftsmanship, and great passion. For more than four years now, we have been actively supporting and promoting this vibrant youth culture through our event, KazKon, in Karlsruhe, by creating the much-needed space and a safe haven for creative exchange, artistic expression, and shared experiences.
As a result, we are seeing steadily growing interest in KazKon far beyond the borders of Karlsruhe.Â
The Program: At our convention, you can experience the diversity of fantasy literature, cosplay, comics, manga, science fiction, and fantastical worlds, as well as discover a wide selection of artwork and booths. This year, the booths are located in the Triangel building and on Kronenplatz. Over 30 talented artists await you in Artist Alley! Mangaka Vinny Vieh will also be on site to sign her works. Cosplay fans can look forward to a cosplay and Godzilla workshop, as well as two additional workshops. Anyone interested can try out all kinds of games at the TopArt booth or join the Badischer Go-Verein e.V. for a game. In addition, you’ll be able to admire an anime show car from the Itasha group in Pforzheim featuring Youmu Konpaku from the Touhou game series. One highlight is definitely Franzis Nevada from Munich with her creative artist booth. Also represented at our event are CampHangout, CosKA, and Kamani e.V.!
