JAZZ NIGHTS REMEMBERING CHET BAKER

For Thomas Siffling, the great lyricist of jazz history, Chet Baker, has always been a great role model. Like Baker, the trumpeter from Mannheim also cultivates a velvety-soft trumpet sound and a lyrical, never intrusive or strenuous style of playing, which is reduced to the right notes at the right time. Accompanied by three renowned players, Siffling's homage to Chet Baker promises a relaxed, swinging evening of fine West Coast jazz, well-known songs and an extremely enthusiastic band. Martin Sasse from Cologne on piano is regarded as one of the best swing piano players in Germany, Nico Brandenburg from Düsseldorf as one of the busiest bassists on the scene and Patrick Manzecchi from Constance on drums as one of the most swinging drummers on the southern German scene.
