Planning and traveling with
Interrail can be complicated on its own. If you also combine the trip with a 20-inch folding bike, which counts as luggage for some train operators and as a bicycle for others, in combination with a wide variety of trains and transport regulations, it quickly becomes much more complicated. Daniel was on several Interrail trips through Europe this year with his 20-inch folding bike.
While the Interrail ticket was pleasantly easy to use, the folding bike and the thousands of different regulations made everything much more complicated than expected. The freedom the bike offers was worth the effort. This talk will be about the experiences, the preparation/organization, the bike transport and the mistakes Daniel made on the trips. How many meters of penalties did he have to pay? Can you transport a folding bike on a parcel shelf/luggage rack? Is luggage Tetris now his favorite game?
