Homegrown - Duo Voltige

Karlsruhe-born saxophonist Kerstin Haberecht and guitarist Lukas Roos met while studying jazz at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Since then, they have played together in various larger formations, but also in the challenging duo line-up, which is enhanced by two coupled loop stations. In spring, the debut of their duo Voltige entitled "Maiden Flight" was released on the Swiss label Unit Records. For them, playing as a duo means maximum intensity, but also great vulnerability and the need to always be able to rely on the other. Their own compositions and favorite pieces resound in a very personal mixture of idyllic moments, colorful hustle and bustle, excursions into the playful, dark sounds and swinging drive.
