First Time On Stage – The Popnetz Youth Band Festival

Once a year, jubez opens its doors for the Popnetz youth band festival First Time On Stage. This event is aimed particularly at young bands/acts, school bands, and music school bands with little live experience. Even if you only have one or two finished songs or everything isn't perfectly arranged yet, there will always be a supportive audience for your first, second, or third performance. "Just play" is the motto here. Older bands/acts are also very welcome. The only thing that is not allowed here is insults and exclusionary behavior towards others in lyrics and announcements. 
 There are always 10-12 possible slots with up to approx. 20 minutes of playing time. A backline consisting of drums, bass amplifier, and two guitar amplifiers is already set up and available. The sound system and microphones are also ready to go. A sound engineer ensures good sound quality. You only need to bring your instruments, cables, tuners, lyrics, etc. 
 Admission to First Time on Stage is free. Relatives, friends, classmates, and anyone else who wants to support the bands and acts from the audience are of course welcome. If you would like to participate, please send an email with your band name, lineup, age, and band contact information (contact person, email, and phone number) to j.werner@stja.de by approximately March 6. We cannot always guarantee a free slot, but we will do our best to make sure that your first performance goes well, despite the excitement!
