Hey, man! (State Theater: Relaxed)
From his window, Karim has a view of the entire Lerchenstraße. Every day, he and his friend Mo watch the residents of the big house across the street. Over there, the people have snow-white hair—or no hair at all—and they wear telltale buttons in their ears. Plus, they all seem to be caught in a slow-motion effect. “It’s a retirement home,” someone explains to them. Mo and Karim are certain: they must avoid getting older at all costs! But how can you stop time? Should they banish all clocks? Or do you stay young if you don’t celebrate your birthday? The friends do everything they can to stop aging—until one day they meet Mr. Lila, a neighbor from across the street, with whom time actually flies by…
In *Ey, Alter!*, author Coco Plümer playfully explores the theme of time and opens a dialogue between generations that focuses on the joy of discovery and the beauty of being different.
