EFFEKTE in June: "Artificial and intelligent - how AI works and what it can do"
It has the potential to be the next technological revolution: artificial intelligence (AI). There are many questions and they will be asked at this science evening.
Prof. Dr. Steffen Kinkel from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) will shed light on the aspect of how trustworthy AI actually is. Using examples from everyday life, he shows where AI arrives at dubious decisions. Dr. Markus Müller from the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation will show the advantages of intelligent video surveillance supported by AI. Prof. Dr. Jan Niehues from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) will take visitors on a journey into the heart of AI: does it really understand a text or does it just reproduce what has already been said as if by a parrot? Prof. Dr. Jörn Müller-Quade from KIT will talk about data protection and what good technical solutions look like.
