A space for free development - this is what the Karlsruhe technology initiative of Cyberforum e. V. offers with the "SFZ technikaLab", which will be presented this evening. This is the first school research center in the fan-shaped city where children and young people can get to grips with Fischertechnik in a playful way. Prof. Dr. Ulf-Daniel Ehlers and Laura Eigbrecht from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Karlsruhe will take the audience into the future and explain the skills that people will need to find their way there. It is clear to the researchers that people must be able to actively shape these skills. Annika Oser and Frauke Ritter from the Computer Science Teaching and Learning Lab at Karlsruhe University of Education answer the question of how Instagram can be used in computer science lessons and why teaching digital skills is crucial.
To the EFFEKTE science series
Raising questions, but above all providing answers - that's what the EFFEKTE series does.
Every month - always on a Tuesday.Â
From June 2024 until the EFFEKTE Science Festival in May 2025, there will be twelve evenings of hands-on science - vivid, understandable and absolutely up-to-date. Representatives from Karlsruhe's universities and research institutions will always present themselves on "Science Tuesday". They provide insights into their work in a mix of keynote speeches, discussions, interactive formats, exhibits and workshops.Â
The title of the science series is "Freedom in Transition - Opportunities and Limits for Science and Society".Â
The lecture series is organized and held by the Science Office of the Economic Development Department of the City of Karlsruhe.
The venue for the EFFEKTE series is the TRIANGEL Transfer | Kultur |Raum on Kronenplatz in Karlsruhe city center.
Admission is free.
The events in the EFFEKTE series are moderated by Uwe Gradwohl, head of the "Wissen aktuell" editorial department at Südwestrundfunk (SWR).
