digiTALK - SmART City - Art and culture in the city of the future at EFFEKTE 2025
The interface between the smart city and art and culture will be the focus of the digiTALK of the digital Stammtisch Karlsruhe #digiTALKKa.
How will the significance of art and culture change in a smart city? In other words, a city that uses digital technologies to make people's lives more sustainable, efficient and liveable. A city in which sensors, data and networked systems help to better manage energy, traffic, water, waste and much more. What are the challenges and opportunities for artists, museums and residents? How sustainable are technology-based art and cultural projects in urban spaces? And how can new digital phenomena and technologies influence art and culture in a city?
The #digiTALK is a joint project of the Science Office of the City of Karlsruhe, the karlsruhe.digital initiative, the news portal ka-news and Karlshochschule International University and is dedicated to the effects of digitalization on society. The Karlsruhe digital regulars' table "#digiTALK" offers a free platform for digital topics in Karlsruhe and aims to create an exchange between experts and society. The exchange at eye level with the audience is of great importance. The event is aimed at all interested citizens without specialist knowledge. The aim is to prepare the topics at a low-threshold level for everyone to understand and to enter into a discourse.
