The maggot with bacon - funny local evening with Bernd Gnann
Anyone who wants to laugh heartily is in good hands at the Schlachthof: Bernd Gnann is once again hosting his legendary Heimatabend, which has become an integral part of the Chamber Theater's repertoire. "Every evening is different" - you can take it from him, because Gnann is a master of spontaneity, showing the many facets of his skills, all of them incomparable and genuine. For 10 years, the ever-changing program has become a perennial favorite. He effortlessly manages to break down the barrier between the podium and the auditorium. You learn a lot about Gnann's home town, the idyllic village of Reichenbach near Bad Schussenried, his seven siblings and, of course, the sad fate of Horst the cockerel. Gnann plays ping-pong with his audience, picking up every ball and firing back punch line after punch line. In the finest High German and often seemingly impassive facial expressions, he recites classic and contemplative pieces from his repertoire. The special thing about Bernd Gnann is his excellent powers of observation. All his laugh muscles are stretched to the limit when he plays the groom, saturated with wheat, who is searching for his "kidnapped bride". Musical accompaniment is provided by his "Russian" from Kaiserstraße, Ernst Kies alias Igor. An evening you won't forget in a hurry. Light, funny and never outrageous! The pleasure is on his audience's side.
