The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit - The Concert
The concert for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. A star guest from the films presents the best music from the entire saga.
AUENLAND - The fantastic world of hobbits and elves from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" comes to Germany as a concert with symphonic orchestra, choir and the Tolkien Ensemble. In a two-hour evening, the trilogy is brought to life in a unique musical event. From the menacing sounds of Mordor and the shrill attacks of the Black Riders to the beautiful lyrical melodies of the elves - over 100 performers will transform the hall into a musical setting of Middle-earth.
Howard Shore, who composed the music for the film trilogy "Lord of the Rings" and "The Little Hobbit", was awarded an Oscar for his work. As with Richard Wagner, his leitmotifs allow the audience to feel the Ring unfolding its power and corrupting the bearer of all power. A parable that also fits perfectly into today's "Trump age".
A special highlight is the performance of soloists such as Peter Hall and Caspar Reiff with the Tolkien Ensemble, who have been setting the "Lord of the Rings" and the "Hobbit" to music with special Auenland instruments for many years.
