PerL | Holls | Etterath | Nightstrain
The three female-fronted bands PerL, Holls, and Etterath from France and Karlsruhe will bring a powerful mix of post-metal and hardcore to the stage at Black Moth Dudefest.
Atmospheric depth meets raw energy—loud, intense, and multifaceted. An evening for everyone who celebrates heavy riffs, emotional depth, and powerful female voices. You can also look forward to some small planned specials… From their last three albums to this new release, PerL have created their own heavy metal genre, situated between rage and poetic sensitivity, inspired by themes like chiaroscuro, and shaped by a tapestry of nuances and diverse influences. Led by Aline’s sensitivity, both vocally and lyrically, their fourth album “Architecture du Vertige” delves into the depths of human emotions in all their spatial variability. Holls evolves within a universe that blends melancholy and brutality. Hailing from Besançon, the band draws influence from post-metal and post-hardcore, enriched by ambient textures from melodic post-rock. Their music oscillates between intensity and depth, alternating with aggressive doom metal passages. With their debut album “ILL,” Holls offers long, dense, and immersive tracks in which the diversity of their influences conveys raw and tangible emotions. When the silence that follows weighs heavier than the struggle itself —with their intense blend of trumpet-infused post-metal, hardcore, and doom metal, the Karlsruhe-based band Etterath embodies what their name stands for: the experience of hardship and the inner turmoil that follows; between relief and loss, between order and chaos, between catharsis and burden. Founded in 2022, the quartet is part of the Karlsruhe-based independent music label Iwishicouldstay, has released two singles to date, and took third place at the last New.Bands.Festival. Opening the show is Stuttgart’s Nightstrain , who skillfully blend pop-punk, metalcore, and post-punk into a raw, energetic performance.
