BEATSTEAKS
SOLD OUT!
Gang! Who remembers the legendary show in 2017? Now the Beatsteaks from Berlin are back here in our club, oh how happy we are! Somehow it's exactly what we all need after this long time without concerts, isn't it? Because: We don't care as long as you sing!
For all Beatsteaks newcomers, here are the relevant facts:
With their band Beatsteaks, five friends from Berlin have developed over the years from a small punk attraction into one of the biggest rock bands in Germany. After countless tours at home and abroad, appearances at the biggest European festivals and several gold albums, the Beatsteaks are now one of the most popular and successful rock bands in Germany.
It is now almost 22 years to the day since Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß first went to that legendary cellar at Alte Schönhauser Straße 48/49 in Berlin. There he met his friends guitarists Peter Baumann and Bernd Kurtzke as well as bassist Ali Roßwaag and drummer Stephan Hirche - the birth of the Beatsteaks. After winning a competition that allowed them to play as support act for the Sex Pistols, the Beatsteaks went down the classic rock'n'roll route: countless concerts, the ox tour through the provinces.
After a few line-up changes, the line-up that is still active today was formed around the turn of the millennium with Baumann, Teutoburg-Weiß and Kurtzke as well as Thomas Götz (drums) and Torsten Scholz (bass). Their big breakthrough came in 2004 with "Smacksmash". The fourth Beatsteaks album reached number eleven in the German charts, went platinum and the Beatsteaks were awarded "Best German Act" at the MTV Music Awards. Since then, they have continued to build on their success with three further studio albums and countless acclaimed concerts. The Beatsteaks went to number three in the charts with the gold album ".limbo messiah" in 2007 and reached the peak position in the Media Control charts for the first time in their career with the album "Boombox" (2011), which also went gold.
After a short breather, the Beatsteaks are back. So we can once again look forward to some ground-breaking concerts. Because in principle, every single show by this band is an event. Beatsteaks live means ecstasy, detachment, going crazy, celebrating together, collective frenzy. The Beatsteaks' special live energy was reliably transmitted to the ever-growing audience practically from day one, and you'd have to search a long time for a more intoxicating live band these days.
